Indianapolis Roll Off Dumpster Containers Client

PRO Waste Systems website was launched today and I'm a little sad to be done with it. I had alot of fun making it and they are very easy people to work with. Who wouldn't want to do that everyday?

PRO Waste Systems is an Indianapolis Roll Off Dumpster Container company and they have a wide selection of dumpster containers ranging from 40 yard down to 10yards.

PRO Waste wanted to convey to their visitors that they would not only meet their clients disposal, recycling and landfill needs but that they would actually do in in a "green" manner. The website would need to reflect this message. I think we've done a nice job demonstrating this and meeting the expectations of ProWaste Systems!

Dreamweaver CS4 after FireFox 3 update won't preview

So I upgraded my FireFox browser to 3.0.11 and then after that bang..no more Previewing in Dreamweaver with FireFox without this annoying error:

"There is already another version of this browser running. Please close the other browser before previewing"
ANNOYING!!

No clue why it was doing it but I went to my Dreamweaver preferences and tore FireFox out of there...like uninstalling it LOL and then put it back in again. Closed Dreamweaver, opened it back up and now everything is fine again. I know it's stupid and makes no since BUT after I examined the FireFox preferences and saw nothing in there that would cause it I figured it must be something with Dreamweaver? So I don't know, maybe it was just a fluke with me but if it happens to you, try it and see if it works.

How to change Wacom Intuos 4 Pen nib

Silly as it might seem this might actually help somebody that doesn't realize how to do this...or for people like me that don't read directions that come with their products ;)

Fireworks CS4

I spent the entire weekend learning a new program. Actually, it's not a new program at all...it's one that I've had on my computer for YEARS but never took the time to properly introduce myself to ;) I really like this program and I'm going to make a real effort to work with it. I still love Photoshop of course but Fireworks is really meant for web design so it doesn't make much sense to not use it :)

Thanks Jim Baggage...that was a great series you put together and I enjoyed learning FireWorks with you!

When I left Windows...the only thing I missed

When I left Windows for Mac there was just one thing that REALLY aggravated me. There were a few things that I didn't get like why the maximize, minimize, close dots were on the left hand side of the window instead of the right and it took me about a week to get use to the "menu bar that rules them all" but the thing that bothered me and that I wished I didn't have to leave behind was how the interface of my web apps behaved. Anybody who has ever been on both computers knows that on a Mac you have panels that are "floating" in programs like Dreamweaver and Photoshop and you can see past and behind them to whatever is on the desktop and I found this extremely distracting. The longer I used Mac the less it bothered me and I did get use to it but I always longed for the way the Windows version handled it. Not enough to leave Mac of course but just secretly wished that panels didn't float and allow me to look through to the desktop.

Adobe's CS4 version of these softwares pulls it all together on the Mac very similar to the way I loved it on Windows and I really really love that. They call it an "application frame". Thank you Adobe :)

Snapshot of Dreamweaver CS4 on the Mac

NOTE: If you are a Mac user that liked the way it was before you can go back to that view in CS4 so don't worry :)

Again with the HoosierMac Praise!

OK I'm seriously loving my IT guy (Ryan) AGAIN today! You've probably never heard me talk about Ryan before because ... I just recently starting showing the love! No seriously, the subject just never came up before!

Do you know what I'm typing on right now? My brand new diNovo Edge Keyboard from Logitech! I LOVE LOVE Logitech mice and other accessories for my computers and have even back when I was a PC girl. It's quality guys! OK but this is suppose to be about Ryan at HoosierMac right? Seriously, if you need a certified mac repair in Indianapolis or just an awesome mac IT guy...you have to go to HoosierMac!

OK so basically I order this keyboard cuz my Mac keyboard has a few sticky keys and ALRIGHT YOU GOT ME...I just wanted a new keyboard. Yes, Yes I could have just taken the old one apart and cleaned it OK? ANYWAY! So I get it and I'm so excited, get this sleek baby out of the box and try to hook it up and then the downer! I did not order Bluetooth capability for the Mac Pro when I built it! I didn't think I was going to need it. SURE I got it on the Macbook Pro but I didn't spend this kinda dough on this keyboard to play with it on the laptop!

Naturally as soon as I find myself in a pickle I yell as loud as I can in my email..RYAN! Ryan responds and calls me up and does he say "sure let me run out there and install an expensive Bluetooth card for ya?" I'd already been looking on the web and knew it was going to cost me for the card, labor AND it was going to ruin the 3 year warranty I bought on the computer when I bought it :( Noooooo :) Ryan says OK get this DLink Adapter for Bluetooth and he even makes sure that I'm getting the right thing cuz I'm nervous about buying yet something else I can't use!

I just got it...since I'm on a Mac I didn't need the software or the instructions (7 pages) that Windows people have to go through and I just stuck it in the USB port and 2 minutes later my keyboard is up, running and I'm writing to you nice folks ;)

Woo Hoo...thank Ryan!

Data Update

My goodness how time flies! OK seriously, I've been really busy dealing with the business and now playing nurse to my husband who had a massive heart attack on April 7th and then the next week a quadruple bypass so I never had the opportunity to say what happened with that fireproofing system! I went to the website to order it...got as far as trying to pay for it and it wouldn't let me. Now I don't mean it denied my card...I mean it never let me get to that point which I thought was shocking. I really wanted it so I wrote customer service and STILL got no reply. So I called my IT guy (Ryan) at www.hoosiermac.com and it seems that they actually do business backups now so that's what MaryDesigns is going to do instead! Never fear clients your data is going to be super safe now :)

On a side note I would like to say that my husband is recovering now and we did have some problems with another business over a purchase that was made the day before the heart attack but I'm going to hold off a bit longer to see if they will actually do the right thing before I share THAT story...trust me it's UNBELIEVABLE!

SO IN SUMMARY ... hubby doing good...don't order the FireProof Safe I spoke of earlier because their site doesn't work and they don't respond to you if you contact them :(
